I have two emotions right now: admiration and utter revulsion. These books TERRIFIED me as a kid, and it wasn’t the stories. I saw a new version of them at my sister’s bookstore last time I was home - they changed the illustrations! Come on! A story about a scarecrow stealing someone’s skin isn’t half as terrifying without a creepy spindly illustration!
Hang on…three emotions: a bit of pride that this was done by an NH tattoo artist!
